ISP GAMES FOOTBALL INFORMATION
Game Rules
7 Aside Football (Soccer) matches will be conducted in accordance with ISP Games regulations and adapted small-sided football rules. The following rules and competition format will apply:
-
Matches will be played with 7 players on the pitch per team at any one time.
-
The pitch size will be 40m x 20m and all matches will be played within this designated playing area.
-
Matches will consist of 2 halves of 12 minutes each.
-
There will be no half-time break, only a brief interval for teams to change ends.
-
A rolling clock system will be used. The clock will not stop during normal play.
-
The referee may stop the clock only in exceptional circumstances or at their discretion.
-
Matches will begin with a kick-off decided by a coin toss or referee decision.
-
All standard football laws of the game apply unless modified within these ISP Games rules (including offside rules, which may be removed if using small-sided format – to be confirmed by organisers).
-
Sliding tackles may be restricted depending on pitch surface and safety requirements, at the referee’s discretion.
-
Rolling substitutions are allowed at any stoppage in play and must be made quickly through the designated substitution area.
-
All substitutions are unlimited unless otherwise specified by the tournament organiser.
-
A goal is awarded when the whole ball crosses the goal line between the posts and under the crossbar.
-
Standard restart procedures apply (kick-offs, throw-ins, goal kicks, corner kicks, and free kicks).
-
In the event of a draw at full time, the match result will stand as a draw.
-
A drawn match will result in each team being awarded 1 point.
-
A win will award 3 points, and a loss will award 0 points.
-
The referee’s decisions on all on-pitch matters are final.
-
Unsportsmanlike behaviour, dissent, dangerous play, or misconduct may result in warnings, sin-bins, or dismissal from the game.
-
Players must wear appropriate football kit, including shin pads and suitable footwear for the playing surface.
-
Teams must be ready to start at the scheduled kick-off time. Failure to do so may result in a walkover or forfeiture at the discretion of the organiser.
-
Tournament organisers reserve the right to amend match duration, format, or rules where necessary due to scheduling, safety, or operational requirements.
